Winter is ON at Whistler Blackcomb as die-hards flock to the slopes for early opening. Whistler Mountain celebrates Opening Day with a one-metre base and 122cms Of Fresh Snow to carve.

  7. Quite often, preposition choice doesn't make much sense. There's probably little use in trying to find a rule; you'd be better off (unfortunately!) just committing a number of examples to memory.

    • We arrived in England yesterday.
    • We arrived at Heathrow yesterday.
    • We touched down at 3 in the afternoon.
    • There was a huge queue at the immigration desk.
    • We stood in the queue for an hour.
    • There wasn't much room in the bus.
    • We sat right at the back.
    • We sat in the very back seat.
    • We arrived at the hotel exhausted.
    • There was no-one in the hotel foyer.
    • Luckily, our drinks arrived at once!

    • At home, we only drink fruit [...]
