When travelling to the US from the UK what is the diffeence between travel and health insurance?

November 12, 2009 Posted by Larry Welks

Im unsure on whether travel insurance would cover any possible medical treatment i might need, or is that under health insurance. I cant find any basic information on which type of insurance covers me. Does travel insurance mean im only covered for travel and belongings or does it cover any emergency medical treatment i might need?

Travel insurance will cover emergency medical treatment – illnesses or injuries that occur whilst you are in the USA. Health insurance is to pay the cost of non-urgent treatment that you decide to have.
