Well, yes, but using public transit would be by far the best way to visit either or both of these destinations. The MUNI system has frequent bus, cable car, and light rail service throughout the citywith connections available to all parts of the bay area via BART regional rail and the many other transit providers. Transit in the San Francisco area is safe, clean and cost effective and avoids the highly congested streets & freeways. Good Luck!
the fairmont is not by golden gate park…in any case, there are pay public parking lots all over town & timed on street & lot parking at golden gate park…

There are public parking near fairmont hotel for fee around $8 per hour and $25 per day.
There are a lot of free parking in GG park.

The Fairmont Hotel isn’t anywhere near the Golden Gate Park. The hotel is located in the Nob Hill district.

As stated above, the hotel is not near the park.
That being said, around the Fairmont there are garages, most of them very expensive. The city-owned ones are cheaper, but farther away.
Street parking is mostly commercial in the area, but within about a six-block radius you might be able to find something for a few hours. Pay close attention to parking restrictions on the signs.
There is a lot of street parking in and around GG Park. There is one underground parking garage near the Museum.
